This site contains several interviews with Steina and Woody Vasulka speaking about their early work and artistic practice, their philosophies, The Kitchen (NYC), and the exhibitions 'Machine Media' (1996-97) at the Museum of Fine Arts in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and the making of 'The Brotherhood' at the NTT InterCommunications Center, Tokyo, Japan (1998).
The videos collected here were shot by Aaron S. Davidson and have been compiled and edited by Melissa Dubbin.
The videos were shot in 1996, 1997 and 1998.
Steina describes early collaborations with Woody, later collaborations with Joan La Barbara, Tom Joyce and Doris Cross and the construction of the Digital Image Articulator with Jeffrey Schier.
